PortAuto – Truck Parts & Servicing
Truck parts and truck servicing — properly. For fleet operators, logistics companies, and owner-drivers across the Western Cape, out of our Stikland workshop.
PortAuto started as the truck parts and service arm of the Portland Group, a Cape Town industrial business with long roots in fleet support and logistics. Where the rest of the group serves industry broadly, PortAuto does one thing: keep working trucks on the road.
From a single bay in Stikland in the early 2000s, we’ve grown into a full commercial-vehicle workshop. Today we specialise in FAW Trucks — locally assembled in the Eastern Cape and growing fast in South African fleets — with the full FAW parts range in stock and FAW-trained technicians on the floor. Coverage for Mercedes-Benz, MAN, Scania, Volvo and other major makes is coming next.
PortAuto is a division of the Portland Group, a long-established Cape Town industrial business. The group umbrella means infrastructure, supplier relationships, and financial stability behind us — while we stay specialist on the truck side.
For fleet customers, that means 30-day account terms, consolidated invoicing, and a supply chain that doesn’t blink at large orders or unusual specs. For owner-drivers, it means the workshop will still be here in ten years.
Visit portland.co.zaIf we can’t find a fault, we say so. We don’t replace parts on guesswork or charge for work the truck didn’t need. Diagnostics are billed once, not piled on top of unnecessary repairs.
Service intervals, torque specs, parts compatibility — we work to manufacturer specifications, not to whatever’s in the bin. Trucks are too expensive to take shortcuts on.
A truck off the road costs money every hour it’s parked. We work to give you the shortest credible turnaround, not the easiest one. Same-day where possible — with an honest ETA when it’s not.
We’d rather earn the next job than maximise this one. Most of our fleet accounts have been with PortAuto since their first truck — and that’s the relationship we want with every customer.
Trade-trained technicians on the workshop floor, a parts team with direct lines to OEM and aftermarket suppliers, and one account contact per fleet. No call-centres, no scripts.
20+ years on commercial diesels. Diagnostics across all major makes.
Specialist in heavy-duty engine rebuilds and clutch overhauls.
Direct supply lines for OEM & aftermarket. Fleet account specialist.
Your single point of contact — bookings, quotes, and updates.
Drop by Mon–Sat for parts collection or to talk through a service. Or send us a message — we usually get back the same day.
